THE Cheese and Grain has a busy line-up of music and entertainment including comedy shows, live music and a cultural celebration.
On Thursday 7th Nov-ember from 8pm join comedians Ellie Gibson and Helen Thorn as they celebrate the scummier side of parenting, from drinking wine at teatime to hiding from the PTA during their show ‘The Scummy Mummies.”

On Friday 8th November from 8pm, ‘The Freddie and Queen Experience’ will be on hand to showcase the talents of Freddie Mercury and the best of Queen.
Organisers say, “Along with the many fans who mourn the loss of Freddie Mercury, Freddie & The Queen Experience, aim to celebrate the wealth of talent that came together in Queen by recreating, with breathtaking accuracy, the style and excitement of a live Queen concert, which sadly, will never again be seen.
“Having played together for more years than they care to remember and realising that the Queen songs that they performed received rapturous approval, as opposed to the songs of other artistes, B-fifteen, as they were then known, decided to embark on a monumental task – to recreate the best, most talented rock band ever. Freddie & The Queen Experience are now critically acclaimed as The UK’s top Tribute to Freddie Mercury & Queen.”

On Saturday 9th November join blues/rock guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd from 7.30pm.
Organisers say, “Kenny Wayne Shepherd has lived more than half of his life in the spotlight. He is widely considered to be one of the best blues/rock guitarists (James Brown once referred to him as ‘one of the wonders of the world’) and he has had six No. 1 blues albums and a string of No. 1 mainstream rock singles.
“Utter the phrase “young blues guitarist” within earshot of anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the modern musical vanguard and the first name they are most likely to respond with will be Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Still barely in his 30s, the Louisiana-born axeman and songsmith has been selling millions of albums, throwing singles into the Top 10, shining a light on the rich blues of the past and forging ahead with his own modern twist on a classic sound he has embodied since his teens. Organisers say, “The charity Young People Frome for the third year running, will be hosting this colourful, vibrant and exciting family event to celebrate the many rich and diverse , cultures of Frome. There will be food, music, dance, film crafts and much more from Frome’s diverse community. 12pm – 3pm. This is a free event.”
In the evening of Sunday 10th November from 7pm, enjoy ‘The Sounds of Simon: A Tribute to Simon and Garfunkel’.
