Continuing to remind people that Remembrance is not just ‘a November thing’, Frome Dissenters Cemetery continue to place a wreath on the Servicemen remembered at the cemetery.
The first three remembered this year are all commemorated on family graves, as they are buried overseas or have no known grave. Two from the First World War and one from the Boer War.
The fourth wreath laying took place on Tuesday 13th September at the grave of a Second World War RAF casualty, Burgess, Alec Arthur.

The wreath was laid by Chalkie White of Frome RAFA. Visitors this morning were amazed to discover how big the cemetery is, having never previously visited although born and bred in Frome.
Over 6,200 people have been buried here and there are still a few vacant plots.
The next wreath laying remembrances will be:
Herbert Hastings Rose, Stoker HMS Cambrian, 31st October; Frederick James White, Pte Royal North Devon Hussars, 22nd November; Arthur Edgar Smith, Stoker HMS Vivid, 2nd December.
All remembrance ceremonies take place at 11am.
