LOCAL shop owner, Sinead Foley, has ‘braved the shave’, losing her hair to raise over £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
So far, Sinead – the owner of SEED on Catherine Hill – has raised £2,450 for the charity after increasing her fundraising target several times due to “overwhelming generosity” from the community.
“This is a charity close to my heart and many others,” explained Sinead, “£20 pays for a Macmillan social worker for one hour, helping patients, family members and carers manage the social and practical problems of living with cancer.”
Owner of local salon, Melanie Giles Hair and Beauty, Melanie Giles, shaved Sinead’s head in the window of SEED on Saturday 8th May.
There is still time to support Sinead and donate to Macmillan Cancer Support, visit the website: https://bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/sinead-foley
