Frome Musical Theatre Company’s youth group has been praised for its ‘wonderful’ recent performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and the company is now preparing for its annual New Year pantomime.
The theatre group’s Sarah Bolton said, “53 enthusiastic youngsters aged between school years three to 11 wowed their audiences with fabulous musical numbers including ‘Close Every Door to Me’ and ‘Any Dream Will Do’ in the production.”
The group has given three awards to members of the production. Tom Hill, who played Joseph, received The Charles Hart Trophy; Eloise Kilkelly- Doyle received the Ian Waller Extra Mile Award for her work as dance captain; and Georgina Rose received the Roni Wakeling Smilie Award, for her stage presence and teamwork.
The company is now in preparation for the traditional family pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Auditions will be held on Sunday 25th September. You must be in school year eight to audition for the show with the exception of the dwarfs who will be younger. For further information visit www.fromemtc.co.uk
The pantomime show dates are 28th December to 2nd January with matinees daily at 2pm and evening performances on the 28th, 29th and 30th December at 7pm.
