FROME Weavers Spinners and Dyers is a group that meets regularly to keep alive the rich weaving heritage of Frome.
The group report, “The studio was closed for much of the last year but members have been busy on their own projects and have come together via Zoom meetings to share ideas, inspiration and importantly the joy of their crafts.
“As the country opens up again, members are now back in the studio in Frome working together (albeit socially distanced and in masks) and are keen to welcome new members who will receive individual tuition from one of our experienced members. For more details, contact enquiries@fromeweavers.org.uk
“You may have been to our previous very popular exhibitions and sales that run during the Frome Festival and during the Independent Market near Christmas. The group is delighted to be able to have an exhibition and sale in the Frome Festival this year – Still Weaving, Still Spinning Is a celebration of work undertaken by members over the past year.
“The group looks forward to welcoming you to The Old Sunday School, Catherine Hill to talk about our work, perhaps tempt you into a purchase or two, and to tell you of our plans for the autumn which will include running introductory courses. Come and visit the weavers over two weekends; 3rd & 4th or 10th & 11th July from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.”
