The Writers in Residence competition takes place on Saturday 7th July. Local writers are placed in chosen high street locations and then write for three hours in a public place.
Organisers say, “The quality of writing is expected to be excellent as it has been in past years.
“Each participating venue will display the brightly-coloured competition poster whilst the event is in progress. Young artist Maya Sheriff Prest designed the poster.
“The prizewinner of the competition will be announced at the Frome Festival literary day, which takes place on Sunday 15th July.
“A few places remain available if you want to take part. Anyone interested should email Andrew Hardy at hardypop@hotmail.com.
“So on Saturday 7th look out for your local writer in residence, but please do not interrupt – serious writing will be in progress!”
