The Grain Café Bar has been the first café in Frome to be given the status of Dog Friendly from new website Hounds Welcome.
The idea came to Frome resident Kayleigh Spring, who wanted an easy guide for dog owners to check where they can take their dogs. Kayleigh explains,“I decided to create a website dedicated to dog friendly places in Frome and the surrounding areas called Hounds Welcome, and make this information available for free to other dog owners.”
Venues will be given a window sticker to make it clear they are welcoming dogs with the Cheese and Grain first to display the window sticker. To check out the website visit www.houndswelcome.co.uk
Marketing Manager Tracey Rawlins said, “The Cheese & Grain is delighted with the scheme, especially with the recent increase of dog thefts, owners knowing they can bring their dogs in with them rather than risking tying them up outside, it’s a wonderful idea”.
The café also came up with the idea to make home-made dog biscuits for the canine customers, which are now available.
Continuing the doggy theme, the Cheese and Grain is delighted to announce that they will be hosting a dog show in the autumn (Sunday 22nd October) in association with the Blue Cross. Keep an eye open for further details in the next few months.
