THERE has been great excitement over the last few weeks at Vallis First School, as the children have been eagerly waiting for the eggs in the school incubator to hatch.
“The children were so excited when the first cracks appeared,” says a spokesperson for the school. “They even heard the chicks cheeping from inside the eggs! It was a very special moment when the children were able to hold the baby chicks. This experience has really brought our science learning about the life cycle of a chicken to life.”
