The newly rebranded 23 Bath St opened up their second venue, bar and entertainment space, suitably named The Loft as a nod to Old Frome, on Friday 1st December. Celebrating their third birthday, the entertainment by Stanton Warriors was a sold-out event.
“The idea of The Loft is to provide a much more comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. It is a great social space for people to socialise with friends and not have the music drown out the conversation. The opening of The Loft also gives people more option to how they like to socialise in the evenings. You can dance until you cannot feel your feet in the venue downstairs, or chill with friends and a cocktail or two in The Loft! The new entertainment space opens Wednesday through to Saturday, with occasional special events also taking place in the new space.
“The Loft features a full bar providing everything the original venue bar provides, but The Loft specialises in cocktails classics and also provides alternating cocktail specials. The bar also stocks craft beer and cider on draught.
“A small stage has been added to The Loft providing a space for more intimate-feel performances, but the stage can also be used as an extra platform for seating. The seating in The Loft has been specifically chosen to make you feel relaxed! Bean bags have been placed across the stage alongside small tables, so everything is movable and you can make the space your own. This idea has proven to be a big hit with 23 Bath St customers since the opening.
“The Loft features whole wall murals of super colourful artwork from renowned artist Paris. Not only have the walls been highly decorated, so have the tables, numerous canvases, doors, staff badges, garden plant pots and certainly not forgetting Paris also painted the car used as stage decor for Stanton Warriors (yes, Stanton Warriors played a DJ set in a car!)
“The Loft Bar also offers private hire and the original venue space is also available to hire. Please contact us for further information on how we can help with your event.
“Upon the opening of The Loft Bar also brings the opening of The Pool House! The venue have placed a humongous shed in their garden which features a real size, beautiful pool table. The shed is heated and has plenty of room so you won’t find yourself bumping into walls while playing pool. 23 Bath St customers will also have the option to plug in their own music from their phones/iPods into The Pool House sound system! The Pool House will be open throughout the week and weekends.”
The Loft opening times are; Monday and Tuesday closed; Wednesday and Thursday 4pm-11pm; Friday 4pm-Close; Saturday 8pm-Close; Sunday closed.
