The town was abuzz with community spirit when hundreds of runners took part in the Frome Running Festival on Sunday 18th August.
The festival, organised by Run Through UK, saw people participate in a 5k, 10k and half marathon run in and around the town, starting and finishing at the Old Showfield.
Many residents across the town lined the streets at every point of the course, clapping and cheering on the runners who made their way around the challenging route.
One resident who participated in the 10K run said, “It was a fantastic event and lovely to see so many people out in force clapping, cheering and spraying their hoses on the way around to cool us all down. The course was extremely hilly, so the support from residents was much-needed and was a real highlight for me!”
On the day Frome’s mayor, Cllr Andy Jones welcomed runners and congratulated everyone participating in each race.
