FROME Symphony Orchestra has announced an exciting season of concerts in Frome.
Starting on Sunday 19th November at 7.30pm in Holy Trinity Church, the orchestra will present a programme of exciting classical masterpieces including Smetana’s Vltava, a tone poem about this Bohemian River and Debussy’s stirring portrait of the sea, La Mer.
Conductor Mark Gateshill will move to the front of the stage as soloist in the violin concerto by Max Bruch, with Adam Laughton as guest conductor.
Tickets are on sale for £12 (adult) £5 (child).
The orchestra is also hosting its popular annual family concert on Sunday 10th December at 4pm in Holy Trinity Church with a live performance of the soundtrack to The Snowman accompanying a showing of the famous animated film. Tickets are available at a special price of £5.
Early next year, Frome Symphony will present a follow up to its sell-out 2020 film music concert in the Cheese and Grain and be performing at the Frome Festival in the summer.
