A by-election has been called in the Park Ward of Frome Town Council following the resignation of former councillor Max Wide.
If more than one candidate stands, the election will take place on Tuesday 10th February at Frome Town Hall.
The by-election follows the decision by Max Wide to step down from the role in November last year for personal reasons.
Nomination papers can be downloaded from Frome Town Council’s website or obtained in person from Somerset Council Electoral Services, Shepton Mallet. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer at Electoral Services, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 5BT between 10am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4pm on any working day but no later than 4pm on Wednesday 14th January.
A statement of persons nominated will be published on Thursday 15th January. If only one candidate comes forward, they will be elected unopposed.
The next election for all town council wards will be in 2027. Read more about the Park Ward by-election and download the Notice of Election and candidate Nomination Pack at https://www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/town-council-by-election-called-for-fromes-park-ward.
