Frome Town Ladies FC’s preparations for the new season are well under way, with intense weekly training sessions aimed at improving the players’ fitness and also developing their football skills and understanding of the game.
Manager Justin Paget said, “Frome have a reputation of promoting talented young players and giving them the opportunity to play first and second team football at a good level.
“Already this season the club has signed several highly-rated local youngsters such as Enna Christmas, Betty Restorick, Mary Brant, Emily Petteford, Josey Taylor and Maya Seviour and this policy will continue.
“We have also two new experienced players Maisie Harris and Grace La Traille, who we welcome to the club. To compete in the Somerset and Wiltshire leagues, the club require a strong squad and therefore are on the lookout for players who believe they can perform at that level and who would be interested in playing for Frome Town Ladies FC.
“All First team home league and cup games are played at the town’s stadium and the parent club looks after the ladies’ team superbly.
“Weekly training sessions are held every Wednesday, so if you are looking for a new club to play for, we would love to hear from you. Just turn up at 7pm; Hunter French Sports ground, Critchill, Frome, B11 4LJ.”
