Sat 2nd Apr. Southern League Div. One. Att: 155 Willand Rovers 1 Frome Town 2
TWO second-half goals saw Town take all three points away to Willand Rovers.
It was the Robins first win out of three visits to Silver Street.
The first half saw Frome come close as Mike Baker saw his headed chance well saved, followed by Rex Mannings being denied by another smart stop.
Willand also came close as they blazed a shot over the bar, while Frome had a penalty shout waved away just before the break.
After the break, Jon Davies opened the scoring on 51 minutes after a great move saw him provide the finish. Then a few minutes later, Davies swung in a corner that Mike Baker volleyed home. Ben Griffiths bought Willand back into the game with 20 left on the clock, but Frome held tight to secure all 3 points.
