Frome’s variety night returns to the Merlin Theatre this Friday with a line-up of stand-up, music and dance.
New Old Friends, the company behind last December’s ‘Crimes Against Christmas’, has brought together local performers for the Pick & Mix show.
The event takes place on Friday 24th April at 7.30pm and features stand-up comedian Joe Riley, who has appeared at the Kindness Festival comedy show.
Organisers said he is “tearing up the comedy circuit elsewhere with his off-beat observations on a country childhood”.
Music will be provided by Heybus, the musical alter ego of Andrew McGillan, known for his folk-inspired storytelling songs. For this performance he will be joined by two musicians on fiddle and mandolin.
Frome dance group Tri.Art will also return with a specially created piece for the evening.
Organisers said the show is ‘held together’ by Fearg from New Old Friends, who has created a tongue-in-cheek ‘Ode to Frome’ to open the night.
Tickets cost £15. Previous events in the series have been well received.
