To coincide with the Frome Festival, Frome Selwood Bowling club are holding a fun day on Sunday 9th July from 2pm to 6pm at their green off Butt’s Hill.
If you have been looking for a fun hobby and have ever thought about playing Bowls, then why not call in and meet the group and see what they have to offer.
President Mike Geake said, “Bowls is a social sport, suitable for all levels of fitness and is truly the sport for all, regardless of age, sex or physical ability. There is a lot of socialising, and you don’t have to be competitive to play, if you just want to play with your friends on an afternoon or evening, there’s nothing stopping you.
“On the day you can find out more about our club and the game as well as having a go. All you need to bring along is some flat soled shoes; everything else will be provided including refreshments.”
At a recent club night, the group were pleased to welcome deputy mayor of Frome Andy Jones and former mayor and leader of the council, cllr Anita Collier who are pictured with some of the members.
