Frome Ukulele Club (The Frukes) are performing a charity concert at The Silk Mill on Saturday 14th March at 8.00pm in aid of Frome Gateway Club.
The Frukes, with some 30 playing members, have performed enthusiastically in the town and surrounding villages for the past three years, and their Christmas performance at The Gateway Club is always one of the highlights, as far as the performers are concerned!
In an effort to raise funds for The Gateway Club, The Frukes are charging £5 per ticket (or £12 for family tickets) with the proceeds from ticket sales going to The Gateway Club.
Other activities on the night will also have a fundraising theme. Profits from the bar will go towards new sound equipment for the ukulele club, while a raffle will raise funds for Ukuleles for Peace, an organisation that aims to create opportunities for Jewish and Arab children to meet and become involved with one another in their daily lives.
The Frukes will be performing two sets of new and favourite songs, with support from local performers. Tickets can be found at The River House Café or from band members. Don’t miss out on what promises to be a great show
