SOMERSET wildlife have some exciting local events happening in the Frome area great for both adults and children.
On Thursday 26th October there will be a talk from Peter Thompson, Biodiversity Advisor of the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, about the Life and Times of the Brown Hare. He will talk about the history, ecology, distribution and population of Brown Hares, and the reasons for their decline in some parts of the country.
This will be held at St Catherine’s Church Hall starting at 7:30pm and finishing at 9:00pm. The talk will be £2.50 for members, £3 for non-members and £1 for children/students.
Also, on Thursday 30th November, Les Cloutman will talk through Somerset’s Wonderful Wildlife and tell you about a year in the life of a naturalist in Somerset. From your own backyard to the wild places of the country; from Hills to The Levels, lakes, rivers and coast, looking at native wildlife and plants through the season. Go along to really see why our country is so very special.
