Fair Frome has put out an urgent request for donations to its food bank as it struggles to cope with growing demand.
Food bank co-ordinator Wendy Miller-Williams says, “We are continuing to experience an unprecedented demand for food by people in crisis situations locally.”
The food bank urgently requires tinned sweetcorn, tinned cold meat, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits.
There are food collection boxes in ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Frome Funeral Care at Badcox, Barnardo’s, Frome Whole Foods, Westway Co-op and Tesco Express.
All donations of non-perishable packet and tinned goods are also very welcome, for example: instant snacks, tinned meat, tinned veg and tinned fruit, cereals, coffee, tea, rice sauces and pasta sauces.
