RUMOURS swept across the town last week that pub giant, JD Wetherspoon, could be on the way to Frome.
It is understood that the pub chain is keen to open in Frome and is currently looking at sites across the town.
A number of residents reported links between the pub chain and at least two sites in the town.
When Frome Times contacted the press office at JD Wetherspoon they would not confirm or deny whether the rumours were true.
With over 800 pubs and 23,000 employees across the UK, JD Wetherspoon is one of the largest pub groups around.
