A special Winter Solstice workshop will run this month in a space that is due to open as a cat café.
Purrfect Solstice Medi-tation for a Prosperous New Year will take place on Sunday 21st December from 4pm to 5pm at the soon-to-open cat café, Puss in Books, on Christchurch Street West.
The event will include gentle meditation, astro-logy and community connection. All attendees will receive a hot drink, a festive snack and a personalised Cosmic Compass, which is a one-page astrological insight created from their full natal chart.
Organisers say, “This guide highlights the major cosmic movements of 2026 and the specific kinds of growth, healing and development most supported for each individual in the year ahead.
“The Solstice medita-tion invites participants to ‘sit together to welcome the longest night,’ honouring this ancient turning point while stepping consciously into the Aquarian age with clarity and intention. Cats will be present, adding their quiet companionship and symbolic role as guardians of thresholds.
“The event also inaugurates Frome’s first 3Inspired accountability support circles – an option-
al follow-up offering where small groups of three support one another’s goals throughout 2026. This gentle, trauma-informed structure helps people remain consistent, encouraged and connected as they move through the year. It is especially supportive for friends, family members, collaborators and co-parents working on something meaningful together.
“The event is suitable for individuals or groups, this one-hour gathering offers a meaningful early-Solstice gift for anyone seeking clarity, calm and a hopeful start to the new year.”
