The Woodlanders’ 42nd show will take place between 7th and 12th October this year at The East Woodlands Village Hall (which, traditionally, just for that week will become known as The Hippodrome!)
“Rehearsals have begun and we are really pleased to have new people on board this year – some really good singers and comedy entertainers, too,”said Sandra Gaisford, chair of The Woodlanders. “I’m very excited by how things are shaping up and the show is going to be a hoot.
“We also have a new person handling ticket sales, too, so it’s important to make a note of the new numbers.”
As they have done each year since the very first show in 1977, last month The Woodlanders donated the profits from their 2018 show to local charities with cheques being sent to: PACE (Personal Achievements Creative Experiences), SODA (Society of Disabled Artists), The POD (supporting young people with additional needs), Rook Lane Arts, Mendip Community Transport and East Woodlands Village Hall.
