Folk and world music singer and song-writer Susie Ro comes to Frome for a night of food, community, music and dance next month.
Susi Ro will be performing in the main café space at the Rye Bakery, which claims to have the best venue for acoustics and sound.
Daniel Dobbie, the event promoter and founder of Angelfish LIVE says, “Susie’s uplifting heart songs and soulful, original world music seems to inspire a sense of joy wherever she goes. Susie tours internationally with her harmony singing workshops and beautiful songs on guitar, connecting with the global light family, and ancient traditions of the world, and weaving what she learns into a stream of free-flowing music to awaken the heart. During her concerts she loves to get the whole audience singing in harmony together.
“Susie plays for the people and sings for the people, which is really refreshing. Susie is one of the UK leading folk singers and voice coaches so we are extremely honoured to have her play in Frome.
“This is also a really opportunity to experience the Rye Bakery at its best. The Rye Bakery has a great acoustics as the church structure allows sound to resonate like no other venue in the area. The bakery also allows us to eat food, listen to music, talk and be together, which is what this event is all about.
“James Watts, a local musician will be warming up the evening with his world music band The Fellowship. Another great performance.
“This evening starts at 6pm on Friday 11th May. Food is served from 6pm till 7pm. This is followed by James Watts and the Fellowship, with Susie playing at around 9pm. We also have a late night DJ slot from 10pm for one hour so come and join the fun!”
