ROOK Lane Chapel hosted a celebration to mark the ten year partnership between NVB Architects and Rook Lane Arts Trust.
The partnership has seen the rejuvenation of Rook Lane Chapel and its establishment as an important contributor to the vibrant and eclectic Frome arts scene. At a party on Thursday 4th July, guests enjoyed the sound of the Bernard White Sextet while the sun shone, the wine flowed and the hog roast sizzled.
The partnership says, “Over the last 10 years, both NVB Architects and Rook Lane Arts Trust, have thrived. The business is now delivering a wide range of high quality private and public sector projects across southern England, and the arts trust has established a brilliant programme and is promoting ambitious and original educational outreach work. From NVB’s point of view, the last 10 years have been an unequivocal success.
“NVB are now planning for the future and have established a new structure to enable a more ambitious programme for the chapel and more effective links between NVB and the Trust. This will deliver a number of events with a stronger focus on the environment and education. The arrangement also provides a more secure, long-term plan for the maintenance and upkeep of the building. NVB view the future with eagerness and confidence, and are looking forward to another successful 10 years, in which Rook Lane Chapel will demonstrate value to both the Frome community and the business.
Martin Bax, of the Rook Lane Arts Trust said, “Our main objective as a charity is to educate the public in all aspects of the arts, and to run projects and exhibitions which actively engage the community of Frome and beyond. I am proud of what the Trust has achieved in the last ten years – we have been true to our aim of attracting visual and performing arts of the highest quality to Frome. We are looking forward to the future, and to continuing this work.
