23 Bath St is aiming to turn the live entertainment venue into a much more sustainable building. To achieve their goals, they have been working closely and taking advice from a sustainability manager.
The building now runs completely on 100% renewable energy which makes a huge difference considering how much power the building takes up, especially at weekends.
The venue has also ditched single-use plastics and has completely swapped to their distinct 23 re-useable and recyclable cups, along with biodegradable straws! Compostable coffee cups, lids and stirrers are now being used from the eco-friendly company Veg Ware, whose range of packaging and catering disposables are environmentally-safe and always completely compostable!
When it came to a re-vamp of the second entertainment space, The Loft Bar, the idea was to re-use, fix and up-cycle wherever possible. So every bit of wood used to decorate the bar is re-claimed either locally or from previous projects, and the entertainment space is filled with upcycled furniture.
New ideas are always very welcome! Email sasha.stamford@gmail.com with your stories, tips and ideas on how the venue can become more sustainable and eco-friendly!
