4th Frome Senior Section raised over £200 for Bath Cats & Dogs Home at their quiz night held at Frome Rugby Club.
The group wrote the quiz as part of their programme in helping the community. The nine teams had a great afternoon and the scores were very close.
Last Wednesday Guides Charlotte, Isabel and Maddy visited the Bath Cats and Dogs Home to present the cheque. They had a tour and met August the cat. They also learnt that it can cost £14 a day for a dog and £9 for a cat, so the money they raised would go a long way.
The girls said, “Since our last visit a few years ago, they have new system where you sign up to adopt an animal and the animals that are quite stressed are out of the visitors way. We saw a litter of rabbits and we thought they were very cute. They can sometimes receive up to five animals a day. We also met someone who was adopting a lurcher and going home.
“We really enjoyed running the quiz and glad that we could make a difference.”
