The Frome Medical Practice has announced the appointment of Dr Joanna Moore to join their team at the Health Centre at Enos Way.
Dr Moore started her medical training in Leeds, before working as a GP in both Windsor and London.
Dr Moore said, “Moving down to Somerset has all been good. It is certainly very different from the London experience and Frome is proving a great place in which both to live and work. The town has an enviable mix with plenty of different things going on. Everyone has also been extremely friendly and welcoming – especially my new patients!”
Although she has only just started her career at the Frome Medical Practice, she remains excited about her new position.
Dr Moore added, “I very much wanted to work in a practice that was at the forefront of modern GP practice and the Frome Medical Practice certainly fits that bill.
“It is not just the fantastic facilities that are available, including an operating theatre, but the fact that the practice encourages as many clinical treatments as possible to be made available locally here in this building rather than having patients travel to other larger towns. This is impressive.”
In due course, Dr Moore hopes to build upon her chosen specialities of ENT and women’s health.
The senior partner at the practice, Dr Tina Merry, is equally delighted to have Dr Moore working at the practice. She said, “We are delighted that a GP of Dr Moore’s experience and calibre has chosen to join us.
“All of us at the practice would like to wish her every success in her future here.”
