STAFF and a resident from a local care home took part in a race at Frome Half Marathon this month, when the company sponsored the 5k event.
The 5km race, sponsored by Gracewell of Frome, raised almost £500 for the local Air Ambulance.
Gracewell supplied eight people for the race; seven members staff and resident Beryl Vincent, who was pushed around the circuit in her wheelchair. Leading the charge was Home Manager Emma Murphy, who was celebrating her birthday.
Gracewell’s Debbie Goodsell said, “It was a fantastic event for all involved and Gracewell was delighted to support it. We were tired at the end, but all for a good cause!”
Beryl Vincent said, “I had a lovely time at the Frome Marathon on Sunday. It was wonderful to see so many people, young and old, out enjoying the sunshine”
