Frome is set for its biggest-ever Pride celebrations with live performances, theatre, a community gathering and the very first standalone Pride Parade.
Frome Pride festival began in 2022 and the organisers say it has been growing traction ever since, with this year’s season set to be the biggest yet.
Celebrations begin on Sunday 7th June with the return of the Frome Pride Youth Stage Takeover at The Frome Independent, showcasing a new generation of LGBTQ+ performers and speakers from 11am to 3pm.
Thursday 11th June sees a production of ‘The Luxurious Time: A Queer Love Story’, a moving play written and performed by Martin Lewton, at the Merlin Theatre.

Events continue on Saturday 20th June with a Frome Pride community gathering at Rodden Meadow, which is an opportunity for people of all ages to come together, connect and celebrate inclusivity in a relaxed outdoor setting with inspirational speakers and music.
On Saturday 27th June, Frome Pride’s Pride Parade will make its way down Bath Street to the Frome Weekly Market Community Stage. The day will feature live music, guest speakers, food, drinks and community celebration, with support from Loud Mouth Café.
The month concludes with the Frome Pride Finale Party at The Silk Mill, featuring DJs including Frome FM’s Jennifer Grooves and Lord Cheese, alongside a cabaret show hosted by original Frome drag host Remy Melee with performances from Zina Fandel and Uncanny Sally.
Frome Pride organiser Rachel Haughey said, “We’re really excited to host the biggest ever gathering of LGBTQIA+ communities across the region at Frome Pride season this year.
“Created by community for community, with a special focus on families, young people and children. We have worked hard to keep all events free, apart from our Pride Party, which is our biggest fundraiser event of the season. So come and enjoy all the events, register your RSVPs and book your party ticket to support the season. There are also many opportunities to join the pride team to volunteer, perform or speak.
“We warmly welcome everyone to join and connect, and we will be so happy to support you, as we celebrate and make history together this season.”
Frome Pride is supported by Frome Town Council, Young Opinions Unite, Frome FM, Cheese and Grain, Loud Mouth Cafe, Frome College, and many other local organisations and community partners.
