An original play comprising various works by Shakespeare will be performed at the Merlin Theatre on Friday 23rd October.
The performance is part of Shakespeare Live’s autumn tour, which will see nine actors from Shakespeare Live move swiftly from one scene to another, in full Shakespearean costume and with dramatic lights and original music from Frome’s Laurie Parnell.
Director Gill Morrell said, “This is an original play which I have compiled using numerous sources from Shakespeare’s works, all relating to jealousy and envy.
“There’s a surprising amount of comedy, including long scenes from The Merchant of Venice, Twelfth Night and The Merry Wives of Windsor but also some drama and tragedy – a short version of the first three acts of The Winter’s Tale, a spine-chilling extract from Cymbeline, and, of course, some sections from Othello.”
The show will start at 8pm.
