At its meeting on 2nd July, Gloria Buchan took over the presidency of Frome Selwood Rotary for the second time having been the first Lady President in 2007 – 2008.
The club says, “Whether by careful planning or coincidence is not known but her son, Tony, is this year’s President of Frome Lions again for the second time.
“The Rotary Club was very pleased that Tony joined his mother and other members of the club to witness the handover from Hugh to Gloria.
“Gloria has a long connection with Frome, working for the Frome Tourist Information for over 10 years. Her husband, Ian, was also a past President of the Rotary Club before having to give up due to work demands. Both have also been involved with the Frome Show for many years. Gloria is also a leading member of the Frome Park Bowls Club.
