A church in Frome has raised vital funds at a 12-hour musical marathon for works to improve building accessibility.
The fundraiser took place at Christ Church and raised £2,196.69 towards a permanent ramp as well as steps.
It featured 12 hours of live music, with performances by local musicians and groups, including the Klezmer group who played European folk music, Frome Youth Choir, Songbirds, Three Corners, Dexter’s Extra Breakfast and others.
MP Anna Sabine opened the event and the Mayor of Frome, Mark Dorrington, called in later in the day.
Director of music at Christ Church Ann Burgess said, “It was the loveliest day with a cheerful community feel with so many different people singing and playing their hearts out!”
