PERSIMMON Homes Wessex say they will be reviewing security and access to land they own neighbouring the Butler, Tanner & Dennis site, to prevent fly-tipping.
The land surrounded by Caxton Road, Primrose Court and Adderwell Road has become a popular dumping ground for waste.
Since the departure of the printing company in 2014, the site has remained empty, with no news as to what the house building company plan to do with the land.
A spokesman for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said, “Following reports that there has been fly-tipping nearby, we are reviewing the access and security of the site.
“We encourage anyone who witnesses anti-social or criminal behaviour to report it to the police, so it can be dealt with appropriately.
“Persimmon Homes is exploring development opportunities.”
The problem fly-tipping has also spilled out onto Primrose Court, which falls under the responsibility of Mendip District Council. Fly tipping can be reported to the council on 03708 506 506.
