FAIR Frome is appealing to the community to help with stock for their food bank and furniture bank.
This week at the Fair Frome Food Bank, urgent requirements are: tinned snacks, hot chocolate, tinned potatoes/Smash, shower gel and shampoo.
Coordinator for Fair Frome, Wendy Miller-Williams says, “Fair Frome would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the town for its incredible generosity in donating a wonderful range of food items to the food bank during this year’s Harvest Festival celebrations.
“School and church collections came at a time food stocks were running very low.”
There are food collection boxes in Asda, Sainsbury’s, Frome Funeral Care at Badcox, Barnardo’s, Frome Whole Foods, Westway Co-op, Tesco Express and the Cheese & Grain.
The Furniture Bank continues to be a very successful and a much-needed service for Frome. They are in need of and able to accept white goods now.
Items required include: teaspoons, tea towels, double beds (these can be just a bed base or just a double mattress), single armchairs, kitchen/small dining room table and chairs. To contact the Furniture bank please call 07718- 652991.
