Feast Of Fiddles,
Friday 1st April
The sensational folk rock superstars, Feast of Fiddles, will be making their first ever visit to the Cheese and Grain on Friday 1st April – and that’s no joke!
A Feast of Fiddles gig is a musical extravaganza performed by an incredible ensemble of musicians, involving quite a few fiddles! But it’s not just fiddles, it’s a veritable feast of entertainment. The line-up of Alan Whetton, Brian McNeill, Chris Leslie, Dave Harding, Dave Mattacks, Garry Blakeney, Hugh Crabtree, Ian Cutler, Martin Vincent, Peter Knight, Phil Beer and Tom Leary needs no introduction to dedicated folk fans.
Since their inception in Nettlebed on Valentine’s Day 1994, the love for their music has shone through and seen them undertake 26 Spring Tours, 25 Festivals and record 7 albums – not bad for a bunch of old folk rockers! Feast Of Fiddles are a group of friends and phenomenal musicians who play with passion, joy and a liberal sense of fun.

Marc Bolan, with his band T.Rex, was one of the most flamboyant and charismatic stars of the original glam rock era. With Bolan’s special ingredient of Rock-a-Boogie songs, the band had a string of huge hits throughout the 1970s including Love to Boogie, Telegram Sam, Jeepster and 20th Century Boy.
T.Rextasy have now been performing around the world for over 20 years, a career that out lives Marc’s very own T.Rex. The band is now accepted as the world’s only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan’s family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan’s catalogue management.

Ratrace have been playing the live music circuit non-stop for over 21 years (give or take a lockdown) earning themselves a reputation as one of the hardest gigging bands around.
Playing their infectious set of ska greats, 2 Tone classics and their own original material, be it a festival headliner or playing alongside the likes of The Beat, The Selecter and Bad Manners, This energetic 9 piece ska band will have you up on your feet and dancing the whole night long.

Legend are seven great musicians and singers dedicated to the life and music of the late, great Bob Marley.
This dynamic band, led by the charismatic Michael Anton Phillips (Cheesy) has a pedigree second to none, whose members have worked with such reggae greats as: Beres Hammond, The Original Wailers, Dennis Brown, Rankin Roger, The Beat, Apache Indian, Errol Dunkley, George, Musical Youth, Gregory Isaacs, Aswad plus many more.
Legend’s two hour show covers the very best of Bob Marley and The Wailers’ timeless classics. The musicianship is flawless, with that irresistible reggae groove compelling you to move.

The Wurzels have paved the way for Scrumpy n’ Western – a genre packed full of double entendre, mainstream parody and a comical folk style. The perfect accompaniment to cider drinking.
Performing a career spanning set consisting of all the hits, stories and jokes from a career lasting more than 50 years, The Wurzels continue to play over 100 sell-out shows and festivals every year.
Their quintessentially West Country cover of Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘Ruby’ has been a massive show favourite of late, as well as their hip hop version of the ubiquitous hit ‘Combine Harvester’.
The Wurzels are regularly asked how long they will keep going. The band always respond that they intend to keep going whilst they enjoy performing – and that suits the rest of us just fine!
