A SELWOOD School pupil had her long hair cut short on Saturday 22nd June to raise much needed funds for Positive Action on Cancer.
Megan Lewis, a 10-year old Frome girl, had her lovely locks cut off by the family hairdresser, Carly Punton of Garston Road, at Trinity Church Hall. She raised over £1,000 for PAC and donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust who make wigs for children who have lost their hair. See www.littleprincess es.org.uk.
Meg had asked for sponsorship for PAC because her family have used the service when they really needed it in the past. To sponsor Meg visit www.justgiving.com/Emily-Denham1
Kelly Lewis, fundraising assistant at PAC said, “What an amazing young lady. We are so pleased that Meg decided to support PAC when she took on this big challenge.”
PAC is currently the only organisation to offer free, professional counselling to any adults or children affected or bereaved by cancer and other life threatening illnesses in BANES, Somerset and West Wilts. If you would like further information about counselling, the work of the charity or fundraising please contact Karen Dufton, PAC’s office manager on 01373 455255 or email info@positiveaction oncancer.co.uk
