Rotary Club of Frome and Frome Selwood Rotary Club have raised over £6,000 for charity.
The two clubs recently joined together to raise funds for two charities, The Forever Friends Appeal at the Royal United Hospital and Help for Heroes.
They held two separate events to raise the money, a Rotary concert, ‘For One Night Only’ and a Charity Race Night and both were a great success.
President Jerry Lewis invited President Ken Fricker from the Frome Selwood Rotary Club as his guest, along with Lydia McGivern and Charles Hatton to the Rotary Club of Frome weekly meeting at the Standerwick Conference Centre to present the cheques to the charities. Lydia McGivern, the community fund raiser for Forever Friends, was presented with a donation of £2,065, and volunteer, Charles Hatton accepted a donation for £4,000 for Help for Heroes, which they were delighted with.
