The Frome Good Afternoon Choir, led by Bath based-musician Matt Finch, is giving local people the chance to ‘find their voice’ as part of the Frome Festival.
Frome’s Good Afternoon Choir began in November last year and has over 60 members who meet every Monday afternoon at Holy Trinity Church from 2-4pm.
The Good Afternoon Choirs project is led by Grenville Jones and there are now nine choirs across the West of England.
As part of the festival, Frome’s rehearsal on Monday 9th July will be open to everyone who would like the opportunity to sing out. It will be taken by Matt, who for many years has been musical director of the hugely-popular Bath Light Operatic Group.
Matt said, “If you have ever wondered what it is like to sing in a choir – then here is your chance! Come along on Monday July 9th between 2 and 4pm and you will get a chance to enjoy a good sing, meet the wonderful members of our choir and I promise that at the end of the session, you will feel a lot better, as singing is the best hobby in the world!”
There are no auditions to join the Good Afternoon choirs and full information can be found on www.goodafternoonchoir.org
