ACTIVE and in Touch Tuesday Group members and volunteers were delighted to return to one of their favourite stomping grounds recently, The Cornerhouse.
The last time the group were able to meet at this venue was pre-pandemic in March 2020.
Active and In Touch reports, “There was a very warm welcome to the newly revamped and redecorated Cornerhouse from the owner Martin Early and Natalie a member of the bar staff, who ensured plentiful supplies of cake, tea and coffee were available.
“Everyone was able to settle into a comfortable chair to exchange news and views with each other.
“During the course of the morning there was another treat to come. Local author, Crysse Morrison read from her recently published book, Déjā Lu. She shared a gentle story based on her relationship with her father, which held everyone spellbound and provoked a very positive response.
“Thanks to Martin and his team, the Tuesday Group will continue to meet at The Cornerhouse once a month, as well as there being regular meetings at the Masonic Hall.
“Further good news is that November will see the return, on the first Tuesday of each month, of the very popular Quiz hosted at The Cornerhouse. Please do support this event either as an Active and In Touch team member or part of another team.”
