Parents, children and staff welcome you all to the 7th Advent Fair at Steiner Academy Frome, Park Road, to be held on Saturday November 30th.
Parent, chair of The Hive Parent Association and Advent Fair co-ordinator reports, “Doors will be open with free entry from 11am until 4pm. The Steiner Advent Fair is organised by parents of the school as a gift to the community. You will be warmly welcomed in from the chill to experience delicious hot food, home-made cakes, yummy winter waffles and fabulous craft activities against the festive backdrop of a seasonally-decorated school.
“This is our 7th Advent Fair and will be our last as Steiner Academy Frome. Celebrating this season with the Frome community has always brought much joy, and our parents and children give so much of their time in creating this special event. Thank you to all the local community for coming and sharing this with us. At this important time of change for our school, please come and support our Advent Fair so that we can ensure its future as part of Frome’s calendar of events. We assure you that you will find magic inside.
“The artisan market traders will be selling their beautifully handcrafted wares – a great opportunity to browse and buy unique Christmas presents from over 30 stalls in Chantry Hall. Some very special classical and folk live musicians will perform and the parent and children’s choirs will be raising the roof of Auriol Hall.
“Beeswax candle dipping and traditional wreath-making are a lovely advent presence. Wonderful children’s craft activities such as gingerbread decorating and natural potion making (perfect for Christmas gifts) will be on offer in Craft Alley.
“There is the ‘children only’ shop to visit, where everything sold is at pocket money prices and wandering amongst the stalls and halls you will find the Lucky Dip Pocket Wizard.
“Authentic storytelling will take place in the Kindergartens, little ones can launch walnut boats onto a candlelit pond, seek out the mysterious children’s advent experience, check out the circus workshops and perhaps magical King Winter will visit us again this year! Don’t miss the raffle with incredible prizes, which will be announced at 3pm in Auriol Hall!”
