IT IS the end of an era at The Griffin on Milk Street, with the departure of landlord Rik Lyall after 19 years behind the bar.
The popular landlord is leaving the 300-year-old pub to focus on his business Milk Street Brewery, which started in the pub’s outbuildings.
“I’d like to thank all my customers for their continued support over 19 years,” said Rik. “I wish Malc and Hannah every success for the future, and as Milk Street Brewery, we will continue to sell them beer.
“If any customers want to buy beer for barbecues or parties please phone 01373 467766 or visit Milk Street Brewery at Unit L13 in the road before Screwfix on the Commerce Park.”
