It’s not long now until curtain up on one of the most eagerly awaited musicals ever performed by the Frome Amateur Operatic Society (FAOS).
Costing over £40,000 to put on, Disney’s ‘Beauty and the Beast’ opens at the Frome Memorial Theatre on Tuesday 15th May and runs until Saturday 19th May at 7.30pm each evening, with one matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm. “This production offers Frome audiences the chance to see one of the most lavish and spectacular musicals ever written at a fraction of the cost of visiting the West End,” says FAOS. “Readers will not wish to miss this opportunity to witness true family entertainment at its very best with tunes they know and love like ‘Be Our Guest’, ‘Human Again’ and of course the title song, a fairytale love story that will make even the hardest individual shed a tear, and Disney characters such as Mrs. Potts the teapot, Cogsworth the clock and Lumierre the candlestick who will have the kids crying with laughter! “This is a MUST SEE show, so do yourselves a favour and ring the box office now. Tickets have been on sale for some time but there are still good seats available for each performance, so please contact the Memorial Theatre box office now on 01373 462795 to avoid disappointment. This is family entertainment at its very best so please don’t delay and book today!”
