FROME Amnesty Group is joining forces with Wesley Methodist Church on Saturday 3rd December by running a card and letter-signing stall at their monthly Kindness Café from 10am to 12pm.
Every year at this season, Amnesty launches its “Write 4 Rights” campaign. It asks people to send a card to someone whose human rights are being abused and/or to sign a letter to the appropriate authorities.
Organisers say, “Why not come along and enjoy a free cuppa and home-made cake and sign a card or letter? Any donations for refreshments will go to Amnesty’s Ukraine appeal, to fund work exposing human rights abuses there and campaigning for justice.”
