Four-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Bradley Wiggins is coming to the Cheese and Grain this month, sharing the highs and lows of his inspirational career.
Having once held the record for the UK’s most decorated Olympian with eight medals, Bradley Wiggins still holds the world record for being the only person to win an Olympic gold medal and the Tour De France in the same year.
“His achievements go far beyond the track,” say the organisers. “In recognition of his services to sport, he was awarded an OBE in 2005, later elevated to CBE in 2009, and in 2012, he was knighted. That same year, he became a household name, winning BBC Sports Personality of the Year, and his bestselling autobiography, My Time, was shortlisted for the British Sports Book Award for Best Autobiography.
“However, it hasn’t been an easy ride. Sir Bradley Wiggins has faced major life-changing challenges throughout his life, both on and off the track.
“Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear first-hand from one of Britain’s greatest sporting icons as he shares the highs, the lows, and everything in between.”
An Evening with Sir Bradley Wiggins is due to be held on Thursday 29th May.
