Another successful week for Frome’s first team as they secured their 14th league win away at North Petherton.
After winning the toss Frome elected to bat with openers Lett (25) and Barton (27) getting the innings off to a steady start. At 40-0 wickets began to tumble as the showmen lost 5 wickets for 60 runs.
But with his partners falling, S Croker (84) held the innings together, along with J Dredge (17) who supported Croker to get the score to 187 at the interval.
The devastating bowling duo of R Croker (2-24) and Barton (2-32) gave Frome the perfect start to their bowling attack, reducing North Petherton to 27-3.
Lett (1-32) and Sanger (1-23) kept things tight in the middle overs, while picking up a couple of wickets. But it was Watts (4-41) who bowled the death overs which finished off North Petherton’s batsmen, leading Frome to yet another victory.
