ANTI-FRACKING campaigners in Frome are holding their next meeting next week for an update on the group’s progress.
Frome Anti-fracking (FAF) spokesperson Anna-belle Macfadyen says, “We are having our next meeting on Tuesday 13th September at 7.30pm at the Cheese and Grain. Do come along to find out the latest information on fracking nationally and in our area.
“We will also be looking at pushing forward with our awareness-raising campaign locally and connecting with other local groups in Wiltshire and West Somerset so as to be as effective as possible.
“The FAF research group has been busy and you may have seen a series of letters in the local papers which have been keeping the issue in people’s minds. They have been finding out more about the effect of fracking on land and property value and the whole issue of ethylene production which seems to be one of the incentives for the fracking companies.
“Also, if anyone is up for going to London on the 19th to support Gayzor Frackman as he comes to the end of his anti-fracking campaign walk then please contact Dee on della_anneli@yahoo.co.uk for more information. Any musicians especially drummers would be welcome.”
