THE Cheese & Grain is running a series of Arts Council funded 18+ entry shows at their Frome sister venue, the intimate 110 capacity, The Tree House.
These events are targeted at engaging local young adult audiences and emerging artists. Tickets for all shows are priced at £10 in advance (plus the standard service charge).
“This is an amazing chance to support grassroots up-and-coming national and local artists and discover your new favourite band before they go on to become festival headliners,” says a spokesperson for Cheese and Grain.
“This series of gigs will see some of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming bands play special intimate shows alongside a whole host of local talent. Some stand-out shows include Pet Needs (fresh off supporting Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls and The Lottery Winners), Pale Blue Eyes (BBC Radio 6 tipped dreamy psychedelia), Welsh garage rockers The Bug Club, Bristol post punk noise Heavy Lungs, eclectic folk jazz dance outfit Honeyfeet, notorious festival party starter Dutty Moonshine DJ set , Salisbury hardcore punk outfit CARSICK and the smorgasboard of ‘80s post punk/’90s indie dance and afro funk that makes up the sound of The Orielles.”
