A LOCAL senior carer has written a book entitled, ‘Behind those care home doors.’
Adeline Dalley will be at Frome Library on Saturday 15th February at 2.00pm to discuss this new book.
During the talk Adeline will be talking about the reasons for writing the book and what needs to change in care homes and why.
Adeline said, “My book talks about very negative experiences of care professionals in my 16 years of the job, what to really look for in a home and what needs to change in the care world to make things better. I wrote the book as I had seen too many managers brush poor care under the carpet and ignore neglect.
“I was told in one home that I was poor at my job because I was emotional when losing patients and they are only a number, not to become attached.”
