Baku Dan will be performing at The Griffin on Sunday 10th August from 4.00pm.
An eight piece African fusion dance band, Baku Dan specialise in creating original music based around traditional west African songs.
After a packed out gig at The Griffin during their May Bank Holiday beer festival, the band are back to get people up and moving on a Sunday afternoon. Weather permitting, the band will be performing in the pub garden where there will also be a barbecue sizzling up sausages, burgers and other mouth-watering delights, all sourced from local butchers, William & Son.
Manager, Ellen Porteous said, “This will be a nice opportunity for all ages to come and experience some of the great music we regularly have at The Griffin.
“Usually our gigs take place after 9.00pm when ‘under 18s’ aren’t permitted in the pub, so this will be a family friendly affair taking place on a Sunday afternoon from 4.00pm.”
The band mix impressive vocal harmonies with African drumming and funk slap bass to produce a sound that is truly unique. The pub will be open from 12.00noon and serving food all day until 7.00pm with music from 4.00pm
