St Mary’s Church in Batcombe is to host a French-inspired afternoon soirée with a jazz band and three-course lunch.
The event will be held in the Batcombe Jubilee Hall on Sunday 4th June and will feature live music from renowned 4-piece Jazz, Hot Club, Latin and Gypsy Swing Band “Afternoon in Paris.” Guests will also enjoy a 3-course French-themed lunch, prepared by the team at the award-winning “Three Horseshoes” pub. A licensed bar will be available and there will be a raffle.
Churchwarden Nigel Humphreys said, “We’re hoping to raise money for the church but more than that, we’re hoping to create an event that people will enjoy. Batcombe is a wonderful community village and we want the church facilities to be at the heart of that community for people, whatever their faith.
“We hope that people from Batcombe and our neighbouring parishes will come and join us for what should be a fantastic social occasion.”
The event will take place on Sunday 4th June from 1-4pm at Batcombe Jubilee Hall, Batcombe BA4 6HE. Tickets are £15 for adults / £5 for children and include lunch.
